Equity Consulting
Strategic insights. Smarter decisions.
Equity Consulting applies research and analysis to equity markets. We help clients investigate companies, understand valuation assumptions, compare businesses and assess risks, combining analyst expertise with the data and agent capabilities of the platform.
Evidence-based equity research
Equity research combines information gathering, financial analysis, forecasting, valuation and the clear communication of conclusions. We use both absolute valuation approaches, such as discounted cash flow models, and relative valuation approaches based on comparable companies.
Research areas
| Research area | Questions it addresses | Deliverable |
|---|---|---|
| Company fundamentals | How does the company earn money, and how healthy are its finances? | Company research brief |
| Industry analysis | What competitive and economic forces affect the business? | Sector comparison |
| Financial performance | How are growth, profitability, cash generation and leverage changing? | Financial dashboard |
| Valuation | What assumptions support a range of estimated values? | Valuation and sensitivity analysis |
| Event analysis | What changed after a filing or announcement? | Event impact brief |
| Risk analysis | Which factors could undermine the thesis? | Risk register and scenario analysis |
Data sources
Research draws on filings, financial statements, market prices and properly sourced company announcements. For U.S. public companies, SEC EDGAR provides filing histories and structured XBRL financial facts. Market data is used within the coverage of the subscriptions that supply it, and comparisons account for reporting periods, units and the meaning of individual disclosures.

How we use AI
